Over the years, as technology has changed, we have had several different battery recip saws. A few years back we went to a set of 24 volt DeWalt tools including the recip saw. We have had battery issues with them not holding charge well and the batteries themselves not lasting and needing replaced. Now, we are told, DeWalt is discontinuing the 24 volt line. We have the contractor series stuff from the commercial tool store, not the big box store special. FYI we keep a battery on the tools and rotate it about every 7-10 days and have 110 volt chargers in the rescue truck on the shore line electric feed so there are charged batteries available.
The QUESTION...What battery recip saws are you using and what voltage and how are they lasting? Looking for information on what to buy.
(We do also have a corded Sawzall on the Rescue as well.)
DeWalt 36 volt. No complaints about battery time here.
