Default Volunteers with blue light permits.

I just got off the phone with NJ MVC and got the answer to whether your Blue Light Permit is valid statewide or not. It turns out that it is good state wide BUT check with your squad or department. In my case, my Department does not want me using my blue light if I am outside the town border. Your rules may be different.

If you have any questions contact NJ MVC Special Light Unit at 609-292-6500, extension 5095.

    Have a safe New Year.

Theres a special light unit of the MVC? No wonder there is no money left after Taxes.

We just reviewed our SOG's last night and there was specific info about emergency lights, so as RB stated make sure you check with the chief.
