Anyone have info on the proper attire for personnel operating a fire rescue boat during cold weather. Boat is a 29' trailered to the river for each call. Most calls are for poss. jumpers off bridge.
I realize firefighting ppe should not be worn for water rescue but what is the standard for keeping personnel warm & dry?

For a boat crew I would use an Anti-Exposure worksuit, made by someone like Mustang or Stearns. When worn they are a type V PFD and will keep you warm, even if you fall in. If they have to keep absolutly dry then a swift water drysuit with thermal undergarmets would have to be used. Underwear from 4th element are real nice.
