That's just an alternative spelling of "cool" - not everyone gets it. "Cool" would work just as well.)

Perhaps some direct questions to passersby -
    "Seat Belt Fastened?"
"Test Your Smoke Detector This Month?

Seasonal stuff: School's In/Out, Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery, Keep Your Christmas Tree Properly Watered, stuff like that.

Don't be afraid to support other events around town. There's a limit, of course, but big stuff deserves a mention. And you might be able to get some reciprocal service from other organizations that have such signs for your events and campaigns.

You've still probably got other organizations around the area that could benefit from the publicity.

I maintain reader boards at 5 of our 6 stations.

At any one time one side will talk about either general firesafety (detectors, cooking safety, etc.) or seasonal fire safety (holiday firesafety, brush fire awareness, etc) and the other side will focus on something else such as seatbelts, highway safety, drunk driving, boating safety, etc.

There are several slogans that I use every year.

One trick I have found is simply do an internet search with the key words safety slogans, firesafety slogans, highway safety slogans, etc.
Train to fight the fires you fight.
