long distance rescue
My question might look a bit weird for some but your help is really appreciated, at our refinery we do long distance rescue ( I do not mean high elevation ) because our incident command post is at minimum 50 meters away from the hot zone ( depending on the nature of the incident for sure ) our fire fighters are having hard time getting victims out using the basket specially if the vicitim is heavy and the distance is long, our suggestion was to get a folding 2 wheels stretcher is there anything else that we can use ?
50m = 164 feet
This is a problem?
Suggest a SKEDCO, a Litter "Big Wheel" or just working out once and a while.
Would something like a TURK cart be an option in lieu of FiremanLyman's suggestions (which I agree with)?
That is pretty ninja, looks like it would operate in an urban/industrial setting better than balancing a big wheel. And best part, if your patient becomes shocky, just set him down... instant trendelenburg!
