    Default texasfireacademy.com

    Hi guys,

Im looking to take the driver/ operator course at texasfireacademy.com

Can anyone tell me how this course is? I understand its online with one full day of hands on, on the last day we take the final exam and practical, my question is once we pass everything do we get the TCFP certificate and THEN apply for the IFSAC seal?

Or do we have to take another certifying exam? I couldn't get a clear answer from the rep I spoke to on the phone.

    Thanks in advance.

    Web site not clear

My guess you have to take a separate state test at some point. May have to be on your own time after the class

    I like

You might give them a call also and ask your questions

I teach P/T for Texas fire academy but not on the D/O side. I did however take the D/O class. I don't know if the TCFP test is given on the skills day or not. Call to find out. You do have to pay a fee to TCFP (85 bucks) to take the certification test, then another 85 to get the cert. when you pass. Then you must submit for the IFSAC. Its total B.S. how much Texas charges you for everything.
