sorry if i'm jacking the thread but i tried to reg and both the spring (of course) and the fall (nov) dates are not avail. so it won't let me continue on the process. Will I have to wait until the spring date for next year? I could take it out of another state if needed, but I'm hoping its a website flaw?...

Is North Metro hiring? I saw they're thinking about asking the community for an increase on the mill levy to fill positions that have been vacant and for new hires

Just got hired from a DRCOG department. Came a year after I took the test. Stay the course guys, it took a lot of rejections before I was able to bring to the table what I needed to. Feels good. Real good.

I'd rather not say specifically, but a medium sized Denver-metro area, city department. It's a lifer department so I'm pretty excited.

I don't know what the CPS test is, but the COG is like any other fire test with an HR portion included.. Math, reading comprehension, mechanical aptitude, etc. The back half of the test is HR related scenario stuff. Just Answer like a goody two shoes that isn't afraid to take things to your supervisor and you'll be fine. I can't remember if they ask background stuff as well, about drugs and criminal history, but be prepared for that as well. I only took the COG once and that was over a year ago so my memory is a little hazy.
