    Default Pimp Your Bunk

A couple of years ago the guy I share my bunk with on C-shift was working a trade on my shift (A-shift) and we got to joking around about making a few changes to our bunk to make it a bit more livable. The guys at the table listening to us got quite a laugh hearing the plans we were making but little did they realize that we were serious.

    In the plans we included

42" flat screen mounted on wall. (All wires to be hidden in wall).
    Shelf
Wood floors (LOL, we took them out when we retiled the station....but they were there!)
Folding TV tray that I would design. (got to have a place for drinks, and popcorn)
    Microwave (Duh..for popcorn)
Mini-frige (Pop corn will make ya thirsty)
    Cable
HD cables from tv to shelf hidden in walls (for my PS3, now my PS4)
Deer head (My first bow kill @ age 14, I have too many on walls at home so I could spare 1)
Fish tank (Yes it was on shelf but Spanner died and its a bit too soon for a replacement, LOL)
My Dads shadow box (His jacket and tools he carried, reminds me of him.)

After telling Chief what we had in mind, he was cool with our mods and gave us his blessing.

How much do you charge to remodel?

LOL, funny thing is after I did this my Chief let me and my crew remodel and paint the entire station including a brand new kitchen, tile, oh and the theatre seating in the day room with all brand new lazyboy recliners. For doing the work on duty and he gave us a 72" Hi Def flat screen to go in our dayroom with surround sound. I'll post a pic tomorrow when Im on duty.

And a fridge and microwave? Are you too good for each other to eat together as a group?

No those are plugged into the wall. As far as eating together as a group goes. I am the station cook. We always eat as a shift, same guys now for over 12 years so we are pretty tight. The funny part is I don't spend a lot of time in my rack anyways. The only time is usually Sundays. I fire up the PS4 and play for a couple hours. With a 2nd job and a wife and 3 kids, I don't get any time to play when i'm off.
