    Default chin straps?

I been looking at different products here for helmets and noticed the different style chin straps, which do you guys prefer the factory strap, the Milwaukee style, or the SF style???

I prefer the type that keeps my helmet on my head.

I have a leather strap on mine (Cali chin strap). Mostly got it because of its length, it allows me to flip my helmet back behind my head when masking up. The strap I had on the helmet before would not allow this as it was too short.

I have never seen a need to replace the factory strap.

I wear the Milwaukee strap...in full disclosure, tho...I am biased and have to support the innovator. It is a nice chin strap, which is easier to use than the manufacturers. However, if you train and are proficient with the strap on your issued equipment, there should be no problem.

Whatever equipment you are using you should be proficient in using it. Whatever helmet chin- strap it is, know how to use it with your eyes closed. That part is on you.

I was given a Milwaukee strap to try when I worked at the 128th. I really didn't care for it, but there were guys on crew that loved it. Another case of to each their own, as long as the FD allows it.

I agree with you guys on how it is mostly preference just curious what the majority preferred cause my factory one is starting to get beat up and im just thinking ahead if you will to plan what i would wanna replace it with if it does ever fall apart.
