Default Pierce TAK 4 Failure In Baltimore City FD 2nd Time In Two Months

After seeing about the Portland OR 1 year old Pierce Ladder having the L side fail on a fire call there appears to be two more a month apart in Baltimore City FD on Pierce Enforcers.

Anyone have any info on it or Pierces response to this potential serious safety issue Name: Baltimore City FD TAK 4 R Front Failure.jpg

You must have photo shopped these pictures son .... There's simply no way there could be a failure like that on a PIERCE.

You look thirsty son ..... have a refreshingly cold Kool-Aid.

    Default Really ...

Well I guess you both should go to www.Firefighter Close Calls.com or www.Emergency Vehicle Response.com which have both posted the same photos and it's not the first and only one to occur IE Portland OR a few months ago on a fairly new 105 ft. Ladder responding to a call.

I'm not for/against IFS but IMHO this could be a serious safety issue and I know for a fact of a major FD that when they saw the Portland incident conducted a NDT inspection themselves on their Pierces and Pierce nor the Dealer never even contacted or informed them about it.

    Have a safe day

Yes, it happened, and yes, it's serious.

Th fact is there are those out there that believe a Pierce can never fail and never have a problem. The post was directed at them.

Obviously a person who doesn't know about the ribbing and BS that goes on with the Pierce kool aid drinkers on this forum.

MOVE ALONG, NOTHING TO SEE HERE

This is all your imagination. Pierces do not fail. The Appleton Men In Black will be along shortly to have a discussion with all of you and to neuralize you.

NO not at all I've been in the business 30 years and seen the ribbing but was hoping those Kool Aid drinkers might offer a factual response but only the kidders and no offence taken but with the recent issues facing Sutphen and more TAK-4 failures I was hoping there might be some additional facts or info shed as this does nothing for our valued industry.

I'm thick skinned so no worries and at and liked your lines..

    Default Front Suspension Failures

These do not appear to be TAK4 trucks. Looks like a maintenance issue to me.

And now Pierce and NHTSA announce a recall for tak4 suspension systems on certain select trucks.

    Wonder how they'll spin this one :-}

Twice in 2 months ....... Now I know you have photoshopped these pictures son!

While driving by the Pierce plant in Appleton a few weeks ago teaching for the NFA I felt the force. It was amazing ..... Like a revelation from above. And then I heard the voice:.

Lest ye not purchase any apparatus from the false gods ... Lest you shall approach apparatus purchases with a clean and joyful heart that there should only be one true apparatus you shall choseth. Lest not the false gods of Rosenbaur, Crimson, Smeal, E-One or Stuphen temp the with false promises and visions of grandeur. Lest you choseth the righteous path to the true Nirvana and puracseth the one and apparatus moseth on high.

Then I felt this overwhelming desire to washeth my mouth with the most holy nectar of the apparatus gods ...... and thenth Kool-Aid flowed from the rock ..... and my desires were fulfilled.

So there is no possible way that the tales you tell are true. Away from ye you apparatus devil and lest my thoughts be cleanse of any faselth tales.
