My question is a simple one. What I would like to know is how you alarm system works. At my Department, a 1st alarm is a First Response Medical call. Everything else comes in as a second alarm. Usually in the middle of the night we usually page out a second alarm for a house fire and the Deputy usually pages out a 3rd alarm to get the volunteers out of bed to respond to the call. Now I'm on a Combanition Department, so I know that full time departments will be different, but I would like to know how the three different types of Departments work.
