My fire company only operates one(1) station. Our township fire department, however, operates a total of five (5) stations throughout the township.

The Brigade I serve with has one station with a Pumper, a Tanker and a support vehicle. But we're a tiny part of a State-wide Fire Rescue Service, which owns all the Stations and appliances, replacing them as required. There is also a direct chain of command up to the single Chief Officer of the CFA. This service has:
    Over 1200 stations
Over 1200 tankers (structure/wildfire fire fighting vehicles, not bulk carriers)
    Over 200 pumpers
    7 aerials (platforms and teleboooms)
    28 heavy rescues
    9 HAZMAT response
    6 Protective Equipment Units
On top of this is an unknown (to me) number of cars, 4WD's and smaller support trucks that are purchased by individual brigades.
We have about 58,000 volunteers (not paid-on-call) and 400 career.

Houston has five stations. I've ranked them in order of importance. They will say there are eighty or so, but those are really just carboard models with power wheels parked in the bays.

One station here in Maumelle, AR.

However, we've got blueprints for a second and the promise of ground-breaking sometime this summer.
