Does anyone have information about mobile data communication using mobile data terminals on front line engines?
The department I work with (Rotterdam Fire Department, the Netherlands) is planning to implement mobile data terminals on their front line engines. The terminals will be used to present geographical information an will also be used to represent realtime hazmat data of all the chemical companies and storage facilities in our region. This database will be on a remote location. In the future we would like to use more programs on the terminal like the dispatch information.
We would like to know how your experiences are with these terminals (good experience, bad experience, things we haven's thought off, that kind of stuff).
