Firehouse Expo

Anybody going to the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, MD in July 24-28,2001? Need recommendations on hotel accomodations close to Convention Center. Looked at hotel link but would like recommendation from some of you local guys. Thanks in advance.

Well, I hate to be the one to bear bad news, but you will probably need to re-define "close".

I made my reservations almost 2 months ago (through the Expo travel agency) and I went through 6 hotels before I could get a room and it's 7 blocks away from the Inner Harbor / Convention Center area.

You might still be able to get a room at some of the closer hotels by going through them directly or through a web site such as travelocity but your probably going to end up paying a higher that expo rate.

I wish you the best of luck finding a place though. Back to your question - I have stayed at several of the Inner Harbor area hotels in the past and all are very nice.

Try priceline. Sometimes they can get you in the hotel and price you want or real close.

They usually get rooms that have been cancelled for other events after the booking closes for the event.
