(Milford-WTNH, July 2, 2001 5:50 PM ) A one-alarm fire in Milford has sent three firefighters to the hospital.
Two of the firefighters suffered from heat stroke. The firefighters wear 73 pounds of equipment and get dehydrated quickly.
Another firefighter was hospitalized for abdominal pain.
Milford Police say Rt. 121 between Sigwin Drive, near I-95, and Platt Street remains closed.
One unit from Milford and one unit from West Haven gave aid to cover the city of Milford while this fire at a vacant building was being knocked down.
The Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the blaze at this time.
