One of our neighboring companies has "Nothing burns in Bedrock" and flinstones characters on their trucks. We used to be the Sesame Street Fire Company....we have a Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Swedish Chef, etc. Luckily I came in after they stopped using those nicknames and that company name. Kind of lame. My nickname of "trouble" or "Here Comes Trouble" has just stuck with me. We nicknamed one of our LTs "Lt. Obvious" because he is so dumb and always states the obvious or repeats what someone else just said...we always tease him and say "is there an echo in here?". He never gets it. Just a dry person is all. I would love to get a slogan for our department..we are an engine company with a full fleet of yellow trucks...any suggestions? Something funny would probably work best for us...we all love to laugh.
Never forget those who went before and sacrified to make us better and stronger as a fire service and a nation. 09-11-01 forever etched in time and our memories. God Speed Boys!

I run with my local VFD when I'm home from college. Recently we had liscense plates made up that say, "South Franklin VFD, We Still Make House Calls." Everyone that sees the plate on the front of my car seems to laugh and tells me it's a cool slogan.

B-Shift slogan
Last in - First outIt's only my opinion. I do not speak for any group or organization I belong to or associate with or people I know - especially my employer. If you like it, we can share it, you don't have to give me credit. If you don't, we are allowed to disagree too (but be ready to be challenged, you may be on to something I'm not). That's what makes America great!

My department started a slogan of "Protection Through Prevention" a few years ago when we got our new engine. We put that on the side of our new engine and now on the side of the rest of the vehicles. I also have that on my business cards too.

Officially, we're the "Pride Of The Southside" but we'll answer to "F-Troop."
Used to have an engine with a big reel for LDH .... it was "The Reel Thing."

I'm not sure that we have one. However since we have no written SOG's that I'm aware of, our slogan could be, "We shoot from the hip." I have also heard at many fires, "When the tower goes up, the building comes down." I didn't coin that one... I heard it from other FFs in my department.

I think it was in Nashville TN where I saw it but they had a 110' tiller with "Drive it like ya stole it" written in flamed letter on the rear compartments.
"A 4x4 **** son plywood comes in bigger sheets than that make that hole bigger boy" There are those out there that know what I mean!!!!!!

The department I'm in now (Porter F.D.) is "THE TERMINATOR".
When I was with the Kingwood V.F.D. I was assigned to Station 2 whose motto was "DEUCES WILD"
I was also an auxiliary in the F.D.N.Y. (a long time ago) and rode with Brooklyn's Ladder 132 "IN THE EYE OF THE STORM"
Be careful out there

I use to belong to a company in NJ and our station was "The Big Red 3" and our 50' Tele-Squirt has "First Due" across the windshield and our Engine has "Hydrant Hunter" across its windshield! The original name for the Squirt was the "Lucaston Ladder".

We have on the back of our tanker "Who's the puppy now"? (earlier competition with other tankers I guess, it's been there FOREVER!)
