    Default I.R. Tattoo

I am interested in getting a memorial tattoo, wondering if anyone has gotten one
or has thought about getting one. Would like
it to be somewhat uniform with other firefighters.God bless and stay safe.

Just make sure you put FDNY and not NYFD like someone I know did...boy was he ****ed when he realized he put the wrong damn thing on this tat. Me? I am getting a line of fire along my lower back with a small maltese in the center that says courage, honor, strength, and firefighter around it. The maltese will look as those it was burned into my skin. In the center of the maltese will be the american flag. Underneath will be 09-11-01 (the 11 will be in the shape of the towers) and next to that the date 12-08-96 (for a friend I lost who inspired me to become a firefighter). Under the dates it will read Our Heroes taken too soon from us God Speed. Everything except the flag will be in black white and grey. The total length will be about 10 inches and the height will be about 3 inches.
Never forget those who went before and sacrified to make us better and stronger as a fire service and a nation. 09-11-01 forever etched in time and our memories. God Speed Boys!

I have one pic of the tattoo right now, but it's kind of blurry. Basically, it's and eagle surrounded with a flag, and it has a couple of banners. One banner says "In Memory, Sept. 11-01" and the other says "FDNY NYPD". If you are interested in seeing the pic, just e-mail me directly and I'll send it.

This particular tattoo was done at Mind's Eye Studio in Lansing. It's a custom shop, so the design is unique.

My daughter designed and copyrighted a graphic for my tatoo and has used the design for a teeshirt with her poem on the back to raise money for the FDNY Rescue 2 families fund. We have the design stencil and would be happy to share it with any firefighter that would like to have it done. I will try to post a pic of it if not email me and I'll reply with the graphic. Ride Safe

I saw a guy who got a tatoo...It was the one of the fighter sitting with his head bent, holding his helmet and the smoke in the background with an angel at each knee.... It cost him $175 I think.

He tried to get the one with the flag raising, but the artist said that in order for it to look decent it had to be on a large area..almost his whole back.... $1000+ he opted out.

My girlfriend and I are thinking of something...I am considering the Crying eagle, perhaps in a fire helmet, with FDNY and 09-11-01 under it.

I was thinking about having a black New Yorker helmet with 343 on the leather front, transposed in front of an American Flag waving in the wind. And then above that, in an arch fashion have FDNY and at the botton also in an arch have 9-11-01.
When the defecation hits the oscillation I'll be there.

dropped off the picture today, w/ a small deposit.

photo of my company logo taken off the side of our rig, which happens to have a US flag in the background. I'm gonna fray one corner of the flag, and put 9-11-01 in one of the white stripes near the fraying.
May God bless all the people and families who have lost
their lives on 9-11-01, to those also lost on Flight 587, and to the rescuers who responded to both.

Sorry everyone, I just noticed that I had e-mail contact turned off in my profile. If you had tried to send a message to me, please try again. Looks like I suffered another dumb-*** attack.
