    Default HEEEEEELP! Forest fires!

    Cough, cough!

    We are burning up here in E Ky! We need help!

    Does anyone know of any type of program where FF's can take a weekend and go active with a department elsewhere and assist them in a critical situation like this for two or three days? We could use some help, and while it has slacked up the last few days, I fear it could be bad again this fall or at least in the spring.

    If there is interest out there, or if anyone else has done this kind of a "firefighting vacation" thing, maybe we could establish something for the spring fire season.

    Contact your local Forest Service or State Forrester and request the additional assistance. They will bring in crews for IA or initial attack. I know there are a couple Hotshot crews still working, would be mighty happy to have the extra work (brings more $$$ )
