    Default Welcome to the wonderful world of the SFFD

    Just to show you the wonderful job our new WONDERFUL Chief is doing, I leave you with this article. To put it in perspective, we are WOEFULLY understaffed (especially on the Medic side), to the tune of needing between 200-300 new medics over the next year or so, as we are losing almost 2-3+ a month due to the work conditions, not rotating to supression etc. But apparently (per the Chief) we are OVERSTAFFED by 48 positions!!!

    Sounds like typical bureuacratic BS to me. Good luck to you. By the way, I will be in the City in Dec. Where is Truck 12 at?
