Please read the post in the Firehouse.com site comments forum named "pros vs volunteers". Please tell me that all Firefighters except me do NOT seperate the professionalism of Volunteers and Paid Firefighters. Ive been on both sides of the fence and we both perform the same job of protecting life, limb, and property, and would all lay our life on the limb to save a life of someone else especially a child. That is what it takes to make a "Professional Firefighter", the rest are just paid or volunteer...
PS..Thanks for letting me get this off of my chest and blow a little steam...
Sincerely
William C Allison II

I am glad to see that the "Invisible Webteam" got on top of that string and locked it up before it got out of hand. There really is nothing to be accomplished by carrying it over into this forum. Those who have been here a while have seen this debate way too many times. The bottom line is that no mater how much we argue our own points in here, there really isn't much chance of changing anyone's attitude one way or the other.

Darn...and I was soooooo looking forward to finally settling that debate.
Well....at least I can still look forward to finally settling the age old question of which color is best suited for Fire Apparatus.....red or yellow?

Nuts to that Phildabox, EVERYBODY knows white is the way to go.
Besides, the smoothbore vs auto in the one that really needs settled, no wait, the deflate or lift is uh, no, Scott or MSA, um but then again, is it Piece or E-One...It's only my opinion. I do not speak for any group or organization I belong to or associate with or people I know - especially my employer. If you like it, we can share it, you don't have to give me credit. If you don't, we are allowed to disagree too (but be ready to be challenged, you may be on to something I'm not). That's what makes America great!
