Talking What's on your Christmas list??

my wife asked me the other day what I wanted for Christmas..... and there I was pondering about all the things I wanted through out the year, and guess what???? I couldn't remember much. So that leaves me to ask you.... What's on your Christmas List??

I would like bin Laden's head on a pike pole, and a Pelican Big Ed flashlight.

I wish for everyone to stay safe in the coming year and also hope and pray that the world will never again see anything on the horrific scale of 9-11.

And on a more tangible note, in case Santa is reading, I would't mind having some new boots and a DVD player.

I would want to have the remains of Fallen Heroes of the FDNY, NYPD and PAPD recovered..nothing else matters.

Captain Gonzo my list echoes yours. I ask for nothing but that all those fallen heroes are recovered because as you said nothing else matters.

An X-Box Doubt I'll get it though. My wife complains that I spend too much time IFO the computer. Think she'll get me something that will be even more time consuming? NOT!

Amen, Capt.Gonzo, amen. There really is nothing more important than accounting for all our brothers & sisters that are gone. If remains are recoverable, great. Even as long as someone of authority can finally say & confirm that they did, in fact, live and die in that very spot - that would be ok too I guess.

    It will never go away.

For Christmas, I'd also like to turn the clock back exactly 3 months, call my buddies Bob and Richie that were murdered at the WTC, and tell them to take tomorrow off and do some fishing with me.

I miss them all so much

I want a new fire chief. My town counsel picks the chief and the fire department has no say. According to town law they can pick anyone even someone with no fire training. We have had the same guy for 15+ years and we are stuck in the 1970's.

I want for people to ALWAYS REMEMBER 9-11-01. It seems to me that the stupid people are out there in large numbers again (anthrax hoaxes, arsons, etc.) and that scares the hell out of me quite frankly. We need to all work together to preserve the memories of our fallen police, ems, fire, and military personnel, and to insure that nothing like this EVER happens again on American soil. God Bless America!
Never forget those who went before and sacrified to make us better and stronger as a fire service and a nation. 09-11-01 forever etched in time and our memories. God Speed Boys!

Ditto, Gonzo. Nothing else is even remotely as important.

Having said that, what I very selfishly want for Christmas is for DC Mayor Anthony Williams to come to his senses and realize what damage Ronnie Few and his Georgia incompetents have done (and are continuing to do) to a department that had made strides toward recapturing their former place as one of the premier departments in the nation.

I hope that wish doesn't diminish the profound respect I have for all of my fallen brothers. God bless them and their loved ones.

Thanks, again, Capt Gonzo, for reminding us what is most important. Next in my book is for my fellow Marines to return home safely, with the heads of our Al-Quaeda "friends" on sticks!

    Wish #1;World Peace-unlikely, I know.
Wish #2;All the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD widows and orphans have a nice holiday, in spite of it all.
Wish #3;All of the victims brought home.

I met a guy a couple weeks ago who made it off the 87th floor of Tower One alive. Seeing him there & breathing made me feel that the 343 did not die in vain.

I'll echo everyone's wishes as well, and I want a new fire helmet. Have my eye on a new paul conway traditional helmet, black in color.

Happy Holidays Everyone! Stay Safe and out of harm's way.

The only thing that I could add to what captain Gonzo said, would be for the families and friends of all touched by 911 the ability to get some peace and comfort for the holiday season.

Peace and Good Health for all mankind. No more LODDs. All firefighters and fire departments work with the public for good fire prevention.
May the Lord Bless Everyone in the comming years.
