Thank you for the link. My check is in the mail.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the FDNY, their brothers and the familes of those lost on 9/11.

I just ordered one, it's a nice thing for the families, and for me the name a reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

God Bless all our fallen brothers and sisters.

E40FDNYL35 - I have been wearing a similar bracelet purchased at FCC World Challenge X in Memphis in early November. At the Canadian Nationals a month earlier I was given a ribbon w/ a FF's name on it to wear during the competition. I have since purchased dog tags w/ his name and that of the other 2 men on that engine listed as missing that day. While I do not know these men they will always be close to my heart forever.

I thought the bracelet had names on it? Does it look and feel good? Real nice to see so much of the money going to the families! Looks like it costs less than 40 cents to make, if 9.60 from every $10 is donated. I wonder how they can do it.

    ompa,

I got a few bracelets and dog tags with names on them from memorybracelet.com. $2.00 from every sale goes to a Widows and Childrens fund for both fire and police. You can have a name randomly given to you or you can specifically ask for a name that is already in their data base. You can also have one made up (costs a little extra). Last time I checked the site, they said they've raised over $88,000.00 I think that's pretty good since bracelets are only $5.00 and dog tags go for $3.00.
