Well after long talks and doing some very convincing studies for our department, We have convinced our chief along with the guys on the job who did not want to go to a traditional helmet, I am happy to say that Somers Fire Dept. is going back to the traditional style helmet. We are going to the Paul Conway Traditional, with the choice of either the 4" shield or goggles. We got a really good price too. If anybody else is trying to convince their chief or firefighters, I wish you all the luck. We are starting to replace the helmets as of Jan. 2002. We will always keep FDNY in our hearts and prayers.
