Post Anyone help me out with question (FDNY)?

I went to this link tonight and notice many FDNY members have a (D) near thier name and picture. What does this (D) mean?

In some of the older lists, I think this indicated "deceased" meaning that they had been recovered. I am pretty sure that is the meaning. The NY Post had they same list and they indicated this meaning. Does anyone else have an idea?
