    superchef,

Whilst many a man has tried to control such a thing, no one has ever been able to entrap the las with the flowing crimson hair. One could only hope to contain her long enough to witness the strength and beauty that arises from such a crown upon her head. Her power lies not within the color or the length of the follicles but in the heart and the soul of the las, for one to wear such a crown one must be confident and proud. Confident and proud is the lad who searches and longs for her, for he has devoted his life to an often futile struggle.

Perhaps the lad should let his search lead him to San Fran.
There is a very warm heart and deep compassionate soul here searching for someone too.

    You do write beautifully UNIONPROUD.

Thou thinkest that in the ever expanding World of the Wood....a personals service/date match should be examined and explored. LadyCapn....perhaps you should coordinate this effort on behalf of all of us Wood Wannabes.

Mr. President, If I could please have the floor....I would like to nominate Sir Grit from PG as the coordinator of a Firehouse Expo gathering of the Wood Worshipers. I can almost taste the Beer down at Fells Point.....

Hook: You willing to assume a sector assignment with Fyreman for the Woodfest East?

Woody, we may be a ways down the road from your romantic crisis du jour by now, but take some advice: Lower your standards.

Bruce Robison wrote this song about doing just that, and his brother Charlie recorded it. (Of course, it's a big ugly lie because Charlie is married to one of the Dixie Chicks, but in theory...)

"The Best That I Can Do"

Once I had a little girl
As pretty as I have known
Lord, don't you know I loved her so
And then she left me all alone

And I swore here on this barstool
I'd never make that mistake again
You ain't so fine, but you're all mine
And I'll love you 'til the end

    (chorus)
    So darlin' don't you worry
'Cause they say that love is blind
Lust has eyes like an eagle
It's gonna drive me outta my mind
    Though my eyes sometimes wander
It doesn't mean that I'm untrue
You're not the best, but you're the best that I can do

    (spoken)
You know, a pretty girl, she'll leave you
Leave you to drown in your own tears
You know an ugly girl, well she'll leave you too
But then again, who really cares?
And them eyes of blue, they cannot be true
They'll have to stay here in my dreams
And I guess that's why ol' Hugh Hefner
    Invented Playboy Magazine

So sit down here beside me girl
And I will tell you what we will do
We're gonna twist them lids and hope our kids
Look more like me than you

And when that bottle is finally empty
We're gonna tumble across the floor
And I'm gonna pray my imagination
Is gonna pull me through once more

    (chorus)

    UNIONPREZMIKE,

**bowing** I defer to you for romance/connection issues, I have enough on my plate as the Prez's personal advisor.

Unfortunately we need to lure..........I mean entice.......I mean invite some other females to join this thread. I think I can speak for SuperChef and lilmissemtstudent when I say I have no intention of populating Woody World on my own!!!!

It would seem that all who have partook of this thread and the prior one was awarded a title. I am curious as to the application process to become one of the executive board to the WOOD MAN. I could act as the resident advisor of poetry and prose. Examples of my work provided upon request. I feel it is an imortant position since the WOOD is currently trying to woo a las.

There are other females out here, only problem is even though I'm a Woody lover I can't help populate Woody World. Due to medical reasons, the Maternity Ward was removed 3 years ago (but the Visiting Room is still intact, if you know what I mean )

Maybe a note on another forum would bring in a few of the ladies - maybe the EMT forums. Part I of this thread was huge before I took the time to read it. The original topic didn't catch my eye, but the references to Maplewood in other threads sparked my curiosity. Now I read it every day and keep trying to think of a way to play a part in Woody's World. For now I'll have to be happy just being a member of the Woody Club.

All hail the Wood! HELL YEAH!

Does that mean I'm in charge of "Woody's Welcome Wagon"! I know I could help Wannabe Woodys become Full-Fledged Woodys! I can be very encouraging and supportive, I've had lots of practice I'll have to go shopping though, because unlike LadyCapt, I have no Woody replica to salute each morning

I think there are more executives than regular members. But I also think it is a good thing. It gives us jobs to fall back on if the Woody club ever starts to make millions.
