The United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms (ATF) has issued new explosives regulations that will have an impact on fire departments across the country. Effective December 22, 1998, anyone who stores explosives must notify the local fire department of the locations of explosives storage or manufacturing.
