Our town has recently established a FAST team consisting of members from the four volunteer FD's that serve a community of about 12,000. We trained a core of core group of 20 dedicated and qualified FF's as a start. We are now wresltling with a deployment plan that will equally serve each of the four FD's and there particular districts.

Each FD has an alarm card that may vary depending on where the call is in their district. The 1st alarm may or may not include enough FAST FF's to set up a suitable team. If not (i.e. daytime), an additional FD is requested to fill out the FAST.

Has anyone been through this regional process, and if so, can you offer any suggestions, comments, war stories?
