I am in the beginning stages on gathering data that will help me predict work loads when forecasting response levels. This is an important part of the planning process. My question. What the the key factors? Number of people. Number of homes. Income levels. Homeowners versus renters. Anything along these lines. I think that future planning is a critical part of what we do. Please help.

Interesting... over the past year or so FIRE ENGINEERING magazine has published some articles on risk analysis and strategic planning. I skimmed over these with the intent of digging in at a later date. Pretty high end stuff for a small volunteer dept. to delve into. However with our current growth rate it's neccasary to make time for this process. I'll be back.
