    Post PPV for structure fires

    I'm a fire instructor in Michiagn lokking for a source's to develope an outline to teach PPV for structure fire attack. Just basic do's and dont's and SOG's. and info or sites were I can download information would be appreciated

    I've got one BIG don't:

    DON'T use PPV during the opening up/overhaul stage. Opening a void containing active fire in a pressuized compartment only spreads heat, flame and smoke throughout that void. There is a good chance if a wall or other void is opened in an unaffected area, the PPV will force fresh air into the void and feed and spread hidden fire further up or along that void.
    If you really must use PPV, do yourself a favour and shut it down once you have water on the fire, even if it is a fogtip.
