About LinkBackswhat can be done to speed upthe ability to get into some of the forums. It sometimes takes a cuople of mins for the screen to comeupafter the computor says done .
Firefighter forum is the worst. Thereare times it just doesnt comeupat all,even after 10 to 15 mins.
some arent bad, and it is not my machine as I have the same problem on the machines at work

What browser are you using? Even the most popular forums have been tested with a 56K modem on Internet Explorer and load relatively quickly...

my DSL with netscape is almost as bad with up to one minute delays after saying,,,,done

I use 56k modem with cable thru comcast at home and netscape. My pc is a 500 meg machine. When I first got this and started with FH the forums use to comeup lightning fast As I said even when I use the FH pc which are even faster and newer than mine 1gb, FH is still slow especially on certain forums like F/F. .I dont have this problem with any other web site. Same thing at the fire house.

I have developed the same problem. I often get tired of waiting and go to a faster forum.

I`m on the staff of a few other BBS`s, in order to prevent this problem, we usually archive old topics regurally, and close all duplicate threads as they are created. It reduces the BBS loading time, cuts down on bandwith use, and is easy to do with the UBB. I don`t know how much staff you have to do that here, but it`s a suggestion.

No problems on my ADSL. Quick as all get out up here but maybe we don't have the traffic to deal with that you folks do but should'nt make a diff. Hope you find a solution soon

I'm On DSL And Everything On The Site Loads Fast,When I Was On 56K It Took About 3 Min,Just For The www.firehouse.com Front Page,Now It's So Fast It Only Takes 10 Secs,I Don't Know What To Say To Help
