Baltimore City firefighters battled two multi-alarm dwelling fires this afternoon.
The first broke out at about 5pm in the 2400 block of Linden Avenue and rose to three alarms. A firefighters who had been trapped on the second floor was taken to an area hospital. His condition was not immediately known. The fire was in a row of houses with a partial collapse of one of them.
The second broke out at Palmer and Oakley Avenue, with fire throughout the rowhouse and extension to the next door row. Both fires were under control within an hour.
