Lincoln Fire Department, Lincoln Il 01/02/99 responded to a confirmed structure fire in a commercial building. Upon arrival Eng 4 encountered heavy smoke conditions in a 70x130x25 steel building housing a motor coach restoration business. Severe weather conditions with temps in the teens and 18" of snow hampered fire fighting efforts. The building was surrounded by an electric security fence and several motor coach exposures. Eng 1 Rescue 1 and Ladder 3 also responded. All off duty fire fighters were called in to respond and Mutual aid from Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District, Atlanta Fire and New Holland Fire were requested. The Fire was under control in about 2 hours.
