On Friday morning 6.20 A.M. the alarm is struck for a fire in a wood frame building which houses a pub and storage rooms for a football club. The address is Kiewitstraat, Kortenberg. The fire department Zaventem responds with 1 engine, 1 water tender, 1 ambulance and 1 chief. From a distance smoke is allreaddy visible. Upon arrival communications is notified of a working fire and a second engine is dispatched. The building is for over 50% well involved. After 20 minutes the fire is under control and at 6.56 the fire is extinguished. Firefighters retrieve 3 gas tanks from the building. The fire was caused by arson.
