Philadelphia Pa--Fire Death

The Philadelphia Fire Department responded to a 1-alarm fire at approx. 2AM for dwelling located in the 2600 Amber St, located in the Kensington section of the city. When firefighters arrived there was fire showing in the basement of a 2 story dwelling and then they discovered a 46 year old male who was badly burned lying on the first floor kitchen. After the fire was placed under control , the fire marshall had ruled that the male had apparently fell asleep while smoking in bed located in the basement. He apparently awoke on fire and made it up to the first floor kitchen where he collasped. He was pronounced at the scene .
