KCFD now transmitting a **3RD ALARM** for the hi-rise fire on 11th ST, downtown Kansas City, MO. Fire is reported to be on the 26th Floor; Haz-Mat also enroute for possible chemicals involved. Dispatch is on *154.415*

The fire was in the old Southwestern Bell building, currently occupied by a large number of offices. The fire was initially reported by a fire marshall in his office in City Hall, across the street from the fire. First-in crews had smoke showing; fire was on 26th Floor; fire went to 3 alarms. Crews are in the process of picking up; believe no injuries occured.
