E-4 and E-1 responded to a possible brush fire on 5/9/99 and upon arrival discovered a 10 x 12 wood frame building with steel siding and roof fully involved. The structure was located 200 feet off of the road and was extinguished rapidly. Lincoln police had arrested two suspects leaving the area. As crews finished loading hose a second shed fire was reported about 5 blocks west of the first fire. Both companies responded to find an 8 x 10 storage shed fully involved. E-4 extinguished the fire with a deck gun. As crews were preparing to overhaul the shed remains a third fire was reported four blocks to the north. This fire involved a three car garage unattached from the home. Both units responded striking a second alarm. Upon arrival this garage was fully involved also and Engine 4 used the deck gun to begin extinguishing the fire. Engine 1 laid a supply line and filled its tank for a possible 4th fire. The garage collapsed shortly after arrival and a city back hoe was needed to overhaul and extinguish the fire. Police also arrested two more suspects as they drove away from the fire scene and ran over the supply line feeding E-4. 4 suspects were questioned by investigators along with tips and an eye witness a suspect is to be charged by the States Attorny. Cost estimates for the damage exceed $50,000.

HEY MAN KNOW HOW YOU FEEL WE GET NIGHT'S LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME EXCEPT THEY WILL GO FROM ONE VACANT HOUSE TO ANOTHER AND THEN GO CALL 911 AND SAY THERE IS A FIRE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN SO WE GET SCREWED OVER, BUT WE ARE DEALING WITH IT OUR PROBLEM IS WE CAN AND HAVE ARRESTED SOME BUT THEN SOMEONE ELSE GOES AND DOES THE SAME THING THE NEXT NIGHT. STAY SAFE MAN AND HAVE A GOOD ONE
