Philadelphia Pa 6-23-99
Philly Firefighters brought under control a 2 alarm fire that started in a pharmacy and spread to 4 other stores within 1 hour and 25 minutes in a small strip mall located in northeast Philadelphia. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battaling the blaze.
2321 Hours- Box- 1689 Frankford Av & Megargee St.
Fire located at 8850 Frankford Av.
E-46, E-36, Pipeline 18, Squrt 38, L-20, L-31, B-13, B-12.
2325 Hours, B-13 reports an irregular shaped building, with smoke showing, 1-1 are to go in service.
2327 Hours- Medic 20 dispatched.
2327 Hours- B-13 reports that 2-2 are going in service
2329 Hours-- Medic 17 is dispatched.
2335 Hours- Rescue 1 and Deputy 2 are dispatched.
2340- B-13 wants R-1 to open up the roof.B-13 reports that this is an old theater type roof.
2344 Hours- 2ND ALARM IS STRUCK
Pipeline 28, E-56, E-22, E-62, Pipeline 52, L-15, B10, B-8, B-3, ES-5, FCOM-1,Air Unit-2
2348 Hours- Special Call- Task Force-28
2350- Medic- 12 dispatched.
2356 Hours- Squrt 8, cover E-36, Pipeline 3 cover E-46, Tower ladder 18, cover Snorkel 28.,Pipeline 61 cover Pipeline 18, L 15 cover L-20, E-63 cover E-56
0009 Hours- B-13 reports that they now heavy fire through the roof in two of the stores. All companies are in service with master streams devices.
0012 Hours- SA-1 responding
0037 Hours- FIRE UNDER CONTROL BY DEPUTY 2
