The Philadelphia Fire Department has responded to 3 Multiple Alarm Fires in the last three days, all of which were 2 Alarms, and were fought in upper 90 degree temperatures hitting the Phila. area this past week.
7-17-99- Philadelphia Pa
1513 Hours-Tac.Box- 1876, Orthodox & Mulberry St
Fire reported at 4625 Hawthorne St.
E-14, E-7, L-15, L-10, B-10
Batt- 10 arrives on the scene and reports he has heavy smoke in a 2 1/2 story MOR, all companies are to go in service.
1520 Hours- Medic- 12 is dispatched
1531 Hours- BOX FILLED OUT
Pipeline 52, E-33, B-12, R-1, Deputy 2
1556 Hours- 2ND ALARM IS STRUCK
Pipeline 28, Pipeline 61, E-64, Task Force 16, Air Unit-2, B-8, B-2, B-13., Medic- 32,Field Com-1
1601 Hours- Medic 2 is dispatched.
1609 Hours- SA-2 is responding
Note- Fire is now involving 5-- 2 story dwellings.
1633 Hours- FIRE UNDER CONTROL BY ORDERS OF DEPUTY 2
The second 2 Alarm fire resulted in a haz mat incident.
1440 Hours- Haz Mat Box- 2437- Rising Sun Av & Adams Av.
Fire reported at 5660 Rising Sun Av, at Cardone Industries.
Pipeline 61, E-70, E-63, E-14, L-15, L-22, B-2, B-10, Medic 24, E-60, B-1, Haz Mat-1, Deputy 2
1446 Hours- E-64 reports he has a 1 story building, med. smoke showing, 2 and 1 are to go in service.
1458 Hours- D-2 reports he has a machine with solvent on fire.
1459 Hours- Pipeline 6, Special Call
1511 Hours- 2ND ALARM IS STRUCK
Pipeline 52, E-55, E-71 Pipeline 19, L-18, B-12, B-9, B-13, Field Com-1, Medic 29
1515 Hours- Squrt 72, Special Call
1518 Hours- E-33 and E-133, Foam Unit are special called.
1535 Hours- SA-1 responding.
1552 Hours- B-2 reports the sprinkler system is shut down and Pipeline 6 is in service with quick attack foam lines.
1603 Hours- FIRE UNDER CONTROL BY ORDERS OF CAR 3
7-20-99- Philadelphia Pa
Hours- 0821- Box- 4683- Torresdale Av & Orthodox St
Fire reported at 1926 Margaret St, a building.
E-14, E-7, E-33, E-70, L-15, L-10, B-10, B-12, Medic 15.
0824 Hours- E-14 reports he has a 2 story building , 40 x 70, fire through the roof, have all companies lead off with heavy water lines.
0824 Hours- Deputy 2 and Rescue 1 are dispatched.
0828 Hours- E-36 cover E-14, E-2 cover E-7, L-12 cover L-10.
0829 Hours- 2ND ALARM IS STRUCK BY BATT-10
E-36, E-2, Squrt 38, Pipeline 61, L-12, B-8, B-2, B-13, Medic 2, Field Com-1, and ES-5
0831 Hours- Batt- 10 reports he has a 2 1/2 story building 80 x40, heavy fire on the 2nd floor. Companies is service with master streams.
0836 Hours- Pipeline 18 cover Pipeline 52, E-13 cover E-7, E-63 cover E-70, Snorkel 28 cover L-15.
0858 Hours- FIRE UNDER CONTROL
