Industrial fire goes 3 alarms!
At 05:15 hrs the Abingdon Fire Department responded to a reported business fire at Andis Pallet Co. Upon the officers arrival he found heavy fire venting thru corner 1-4. He also transmitted the 2nd and 3rd alarms. Fire was under control and companies were be relieved at 07:05 hrs.
1st Due Units:
Engine 201 (Fire attack, overhaul)
Engine 202 (Supply, RIT)
Command 203/Chief 2f (Command, Salvage)
Ladder One (vent ops., overhaul)
2nd Alarm units:
Tanker 124 from Meadowview Vol. Fire Dept.
Air Cascade 140 from Damascus Vol. Fire Dept.
3rd Alarm Units:
Engine 166 from Green Springs Vol. Fire Dept. (Stationed At AFD station 200)
*** third alarm was struck In order to cover Abingdon's 1st due in the event of additional calls ***
