Fire companies from three counties responded to an overturned gasoline tanker on a major roadway outside of Allentown. Approximately 25 fire companies, haz-mat teams, and specialized foam units responded to the early morning crash, resulting in one fatality, and critically injuring another person. The road was closed for the entire day. About 1400 gallons of gasloine spilled out of the tanker which landed in a wooded area 50 yards away from a residence. The remainder of the material was pumped out and foam was applied to the surrounding area as a precaution.
