FDJC Battles "Old Problem"

Jersey City, NJ (Hudson) At 0038 hrs on 10-23-99 FDJC Fire Dispatch trasmitted station 653 for a fire reported in a vacant 3 story brick at 404-406 Communipaw Ave. Upon arrival End 10 reported heavy fire on the first flr. Batt 1 requested an additional 1 Eng & 1 Trk. Deputy 1 requested an additional Trk.Bringing a total of 7 Engs & 4 Trks + Res1cue.This was the standard rubbish on the 1st flr with extention to the 2nd flr the fire was quickly knocked down).This fire took place in bldg which has a fire history over the last couple of years, There was a 3rd alarm in the bldg last December and a 2nd alarm in the bldg last May. This bldg holds alot of special memories as My famliy once owned it as a bar in the late 60's through the early 80's.
