Indiana Firefighters Battle Wildfire
Two cabins and 10 acres of woods burn early Tuesday morning in Shakamak
State Park in Indiana. Four Departments and 35 firefighters battle high
winds and dry conditions to contain the fire in about an hour at 5:15 am
with mop up continuing until afternoon. The two cabins were seasonal
rental cabins that were just closed down for the winter. Responding
departments were Lewis Twp.(Clay County), Hymera and Dugger(Sullivan
County) and Wright Twp.( Greene County). Both cabins were completly
destroyed. The Indiana State Fire Marshal is investigating.
