At approx 1:00 am Wednesday November 10,1999 Our department recieved a report of a
possible brush fire on Pumpkin Hollow Road in the town of Davenport state of New York. When the first
firefighters arrived on the scene they found a large volume of fire on a steep enbankment. When the first truck
arrived on the scene the officer in charged asked Delaware county fire control to dispatch East Meredith fire
department, to responde a crew of firefighters to the scene. The members of the two Departments had the fire
quickly extinguised. For the next two hours the crews were busy making sure that there were no hotspots left. In
all there was about 30 firefighters on the call. As of this time a cause has not been determined. No Injuries were reported and all units were back in station at 4:00 am
