A farmhouse was destroyed by fire in the Rensellear County Town of Eagle Mills last night.
5 volunteer companies battled the blaze in the coldest temperatures so far this year. No injuries were reported and the blaze is to believed to have been caused by a woodstove.
Ironically, a cattle barn was destroyed on the same property a few years ago, killing several head of cattle.
