On Wednesday, 11/10/1999 the Esperance VFD in Schoharie County NY was activated for a structure on Conover Hill Road to the North of their village around 19:00. Chief enroute asked for 2 mutual aid depts from neighboring Montgomery County, 208=Burtsonsville and 210=Charleston. Esperance has 3 pumper tankers and responded all 3--this residence was down a long 1000' driveway, and they laid a pair of 3" lines from fire back to the road where they established a double dump tank and posititoned their newest piece, 7033, to feed their onscene pumper 7031. Chief on the scene described as fully involved upon arrival. Tanker shuttle from 2 different fill sites. The circle of mutual aid got much larger, to include:

Schenectady County:

Delanson- Mini pumper,tanker and manpower

Schoharie County:

Carlisle: Tanker, manpower
Central Bridge: Tanker, manpower, engine standby Esperance
Schoharie: Tanker, manpower
Cobleskill: standby for CEntral Bridge
Sharon Springs: standby for Carlisle at Carlisle
Middleburgh-couple of hours into the incident, manpower to help overhaul and pick up lots of hose, county cascade system to refill bottles at the scene

Most mutual aid release around 23:00. Drove by the scene during daylight and it appears fire went through the roof and is a total loss. As a tanker operator I did not get to the fire building so those details are missing from this report.
