Horseheads, NY Combine Fire

On Monday 11-15-99 the Town & Country Fire Dept. in Horseheads N.Y. responded
to a reported combine on fire in a corn field. Upon arrival on the 1st engine
company the found working fire in the engine compartment of the combine.
There was also a field fire from the combine being on fire. Engine company
1631 went into operation of battling the combine fire. They received support
from tanker 1661. The brush fire was attacked by brush unit 1671. All units
where under the command of Chief Ben Colwell all units went back in service
at 16:30 hrs
