    Post 3 alarm fire

    ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 28 1999 FIREFIGHTERS FROM PENN HILLS, PA FIRE DEPARTMANT BATTLED A 3 ALARM FIRE IN A RESIDENTIAL STUCTURE. ON ARRIVAL A SECOND ALARM WAS TRANSMITTED WITH A 3RD ALARM SHORTLY AFTER THAT. PENN HILLS COMPANIES 5 AND 7 ANSWERED THE 1ST ALARM WITH 3 ENGINES A LADDER TRUCK AND A HEAVY RESCUE. PENN HILLS COMPANY 1 ANSWERED THE SECOND ALARM WITH 2 MORE ENGINES AND PENN HILLS COMPANY 2 ANSWERED THE THIRD ALARM WITH AN ADDITIONAL ENGINE AND A RESCUE. FIREFIGHTER BATTLED THE BLAZE FOR 1 HOUR BEFORE IT WAS UNDER CONTROL AND RENAINED ON SCENE FOR AN ADDITIONAL HOUR FOR OVERHAUL. FIREFIGHTERS WERE CONFRONTED WITH HEAVY FIRE CONDITION ON ARRIVAL WITH FIRE ALREADY VENTING FROM ROOF.PENN HILLS FIRE MARSHAL AND THE SALVATION ARMY WERE ALSO ON SCENE.
