1-6-00 @ 06:43hrs., Local box 26-14 (Perkasie) was transmitted for a fire alarm at 510 W. Walnut St. at the Mt. Perk Cyclery in Perkasie Boro, Bucks County. Deputy 26 was first to arrive and reported a two story mixed commercial/residential, with blackened windows on the first floor. Assignment upgraded to a box assignment. Due on the box were:E-26,L-26(Perkasie),E-27,L-27(Sellersville),E-59(Silverdale),Tower-61, and R-60 FAST-TRUCK(Hilltown Twp.) E-26 arrived at 06:50hrs., forced entry and went in service with two 2" attack lines. L-27 arrived next and positioned on side 1 of the building. Second due engine reported to side 1, with the third due engine gaining access on side 3. 07:07hrs., interior reported bulk of the fire knocked down, and second floor clear of any extention. Fire placed under control at 07:20hrs. Damadge limited to the first floor showroom of the building. Also assisting on the scene: Perkasie Community Ambulance, Perkasie Boro Police Dept. This incident is under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshall's Office.
