On Tuesday, Jan. 4th, at approx. 1645 hours, Goochland County Fire/Rescue companies 3, 2, and 5 responded to a reported hazardous materials spill on eastbound I-64, at a rest area. First units on-scene were informed that the product was 55-gallon drums of carboxylic acid and water. Goochland was assisted by Henrico County regional HAZ-MAT response team for cleanup. Last Goochland unit back in quarters approx. 1930 hours.
