A early morning fire (4:28 a.m ) distroyed The Two Cousins Pizza Restaurant with adjoining house along US.30 East of Lancaster.The fire was believed to have started in the kitchen,ceiling area of the Pizza Shop. The fire is being investigated by the Pa. State Police Fire Marshals. Cold weather 18-degrees and winds over 20 mph made the fire battle extreamly tuff. Firefighters had a problem with hose lines freezing.The fire raged out of control for more than two hours, causing between $200.000 and $300.000 in damage. The wind wipped fire enveloped a two-story home attached to the east side of the restaurant. Upon arrival, crews made a quick primary search of the building before being beaten back by the rooftop flames. There were no injuries reported even with many firefighters falling on ice do to the cold temps. The incidnent went to 3-alarms, bringing tankers from 10 miles away, all water was supplied by tanker! Two ladder trucks were on scene. Responding companies were Paradise, Kinzer,Gordonville,Ronks,Intercourse,Bird-in-Hand,Witmer,Bart,Christiana,Quarryville,Strasburg, West Willow,Blue Ball,Lafayette,and Eden,with more than 100 firefighters!
